It's one of the reasons I almost never stay at Marriott. Alas, Marriott still sticks it to you for this. We expect it to be there and we expect NOT to face an extra charge for using it. Almost every other hotel chain in the world, including some of the very most upscale brands, have figured out that wired or wireless internet is just kind of standard infrastructure now - like electricity, hot water, tv, phone. The only thing that chaffs is the thing that chaffs at ALL Marriott properties - they still STICK YOU for $9.95 for internet service. Super comfortable bed and linens, nice television and IT technology in the room, etc. And your room is exactly what you expect at Marriott - roomy enough, comfortable enough, not too big and not too extravagant, just kind of comfortable and easy to settle into and just right. Check-in is easy, the front desk staff friendly and efficient. Arrival starts with a low-stress ride from the airport in the hotel shuttle. It's a solid, stay-the-course hotel in the mid-range of the Marriott experience - and that's just fine for a quick trip to Huntsville. And it is nice that, while the property hasn't seen much in the way of upgrades or improvements, neither has it been allowed to atrophy. As such, I find myself staying here about once every other year. The Marriott Huntsville, 5 Tranquility Base, primarily serves Space Camp, US Space & Rocket Center, NASA Marshall Space Flight Center and Redstone Arsenal.
